MOTOGP SAFE UNTIL 2016, SAYS PHILLIP ISLAND BOSS

Phillip Island boss Andrew Westacott has thought MotoGP will remain at the coastal track for the next few years even though the series' ringmaster Carmelo Ezpeleta threatening the circuit with the removal of FIM homologation.

Last year's race was a effective washout with most of practice cancelled by race director Paul Butler. Riders called for as change in the schedule to hold the meeting previous in the calendar even though it is once again to be held late on in 2011.
The circuit's boss Andrew Westacott has thought there is no risk of Phillip Island being pulled from the schedule as their agreement states races are to be held in September or October until 2016.
